Hakim Ziyech (Right winger): 10

Simply put, Ziyech was magnificent. Even in the moments leading up to his opening goal, he produced displays of pure magic. The Moroccan opened up the Blues’ account of the day with a scintillating left-footed strike and capped it off with a silky smooth assist to Werner for goal No. 3. Ziyech’s vision and unmatched creativity have vastly improved Chelsea’s attack in the last two matches. His inclusion in the side may just be the final piece to the puzzle that’s been incomplete under Lampard’s tenure.

Ziyech was one of the most underrated signings of the summer, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be the most important. Much of the fanbase’s focus is on the crossing abilities of Chilwell and James; Ziyech is here to remind fans he’s no slouch either. A goal, an assist and some mouthwatering highlights earned the Premier League full debutant a perfect 10 rating.

Tammy Abraham (Striker): 7.5

Tammy Abraham got his first start in a few games and like Mount, even though he didn’t find the back of the net, he was superb. Abraham’s selflessness allowed Werner to find space in behind the defense, ultimately leading to the Blues’ third goal. The English forward assisted on Ziyech’s opener, another reward for being unselfish.

He must’ve taken classes at the Olivier Giroud School of Hold-Up Play in recent weeks, as well. Abraham’s surely got to be upset with the lack of playing time, but nobody can accuse him of not working to do whatever he can to get back into the side. The young striker was fantastic overall last season, and we have yet to see the best of him in a Chelsea shirt.

Timo Werner (Left winger): 7.5

Werner was thrown to the wolves a bit in this match. He was slated to get some much needed time off until an injury during warmups to Christian Pulisic saw the German forward thrust into action. He spent a lot of time making striker-esque runs in behind when Abraham picked up the ball deep, despite playing on the left wing. All things considered, Werner played quite well given his physical fatigue. He capped off the day with a well-earned—and well taken—goal. Hopefully he’ll finally get a chance to rest midweek.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Right winger): 7

Callum Hudson-Odoi must’ve been a bit upset when he wasn’t called upon following Pulisic’s injury in the moments before the match. You wouldn’t know it based on his performance, however. Hudson-Odoi came on as a substitute for Ziyech and immediately demanded attention. It’s a shame his cheeky chip wasn’t taken down by Chilwell because it would’ve been a thing of beauty had it somehow found the back of the net. As far as substitute performances go, it’d be hard to find many better than Hudson-Odoi’s at Turf Moor as he made the most of his few minutes.

Olivier Giroud (Striker): N/A

Giroud found the back of the net during his 15-minute appearance; unluckily, he was a few inches offside. He didn’t possess the ball much and seeing as he came on already up 3-0, Chelsea wasn’t exactly committing numbers forward to secure another.
