Hakim Ziyech, Right wing, Chelsea

Despite both managers often favoring a 433 formation, there is simply too much attacking talent available to warrant picking three center midfielders and so I have opted for a 442. We waited a long time to see Hakim Ziyech in action, but it was well worth the wait with a goal and assist on his first league start followed by a pair of assists in his second. The Moroccan is just getting started so don’t be surprised to see him replicate the 28 goal contribution he managed last season.

Heung Min Son, Left wing, Tottenham

I don’t really need to explain this one. Son has scored nine league goals so far including four against poor Southampton and more recently the opener against Manchester City last weekend. When Christian Pulisic finally gets back to his best this choice could be tougher but for now Son is one of the easiest picks to make.

Timo Werner, Striker, Chelsea

Werner’s first competitive goal for Chelsea came against Spurs in the EFL Cup. Since that match he has been on an upward trajectory. With eight goals and four assists across all competitions Werner has shown his versatility, able to play up top or on the wing. The German will be integral to Chelsea’s hopes on Sunday and he will be integral in this combined XI.

Harry Kane, Striker, Tottenham

The player of the season so far. Tired of scoring goals (and he gets plenty) Kane has turned to assisting his teammates and he leads the league with nine. In terms of scoring, Kane has at least 24 goals in each of his last *checks notes* six seasons. He is simply the top striker in the league, possibly the world, and the first name in this team and any other that he is a part of.
