HULL, ENGLAND – JANUARY 25: Billy Gilmour of Chelsea runs with the ball as he is put under pressure by Martin Samuelsen of Hull City during the FA Cup Fourth Round match between Hull City FC and Chelsea FC at KCOM Stadium on January 25, 2020 in Hull, England. Jorginho (Defensive midfielder): 7.5

The Italian struggled on a few occasions with situations that required his defensive input but was very good in general. With time on the ball, he was able to dictate play as he loves to. Jorginho also brought Chelsea level from the spot where he completely wrong-footed the Krasnodar goalie.

Billy Gilmour (Central midfielder): 8

Making his first start since picking up a nasty knee injury towards the tail end of last season, Gilmour certainly didn’t look like a man who had been sidelined for a lengthy period. He was always looking to make something happen whenever he got on the ball and his confidence with the ball at his feet is such a joy to watch. With games expected to come thick and fast, his return is such a welcome boost as Chelsea enters into one of its most definitive phases of the season.

Mateo Kovacic (Central midfielder): 7

On the back of an excellent cameo against Leeds, Kovacic got the nod from the start this time around. The Croatian midfielder performed very well again. His ability to inject life into Chelsea’s attacks with his ball progression is often underrated and that really should change as time goes on. He was subbed off for Kante in the 74th minute.

N’Golo Kante (74′): 6

With fifteen minutes left on the clock, Kante was thrown into the fray alongside Timo Werner signifying that Lampard was far from happy with taking only a point. The Frenchman was unable to have much of an impact on proceedings. Expect him back at his best at Goodison Park this weekend especially on the back of a much-welcome rest.
