Christian Pulisic (No. 10) Right winger, United States

Witnessing Hakim Ziyech hobbling off after half an hour at home to Leeds United will have struck despair into Chelsea fans and pain into the heart of Fantasy Football managers. Never fear, Captain America is here! Christian Pulisic was the perfect replacement for his wounded comrade, an entirely different proposition in attack. Where Ziyech is dainty, Pulisic is direct. Get him up to speed and any defense, let alone Everton’s, will struggle with his change of pace and quick feet.

Olivier Giroud (No. 18) Striker, France

Had Tammy Abraham netted four midweek, his name probably would have been picked for the prize of the main man up front. As it stands, Olivier Giroud is the only individual for Chelsea to score a European haul, not just in the past fortnight, but in the club’s history. The record breaking, age-defying, critic silencing striker also scored upon his return to the starting line-up against Leeds, and Lampard would be unwise to look further than the free-scoring Frenchman.

Timo Werner (No. 11) Left winger, Germany

With Giroud grabbing the headlines, Timo Werner has been offered a moment to reflect on several of the gilt-edged chances he’s missed over the past month. Turbo Timo has failed to score in the past six outings, having bagged seven in the previous five, with plenty of opportunities to rewrite those misfortunes. His endeavor, quality, and general substance towards Chelsea is in no doubt, he just needs to rediscover that predatory instinct that made him such a formidable beast.
