Kai Havertz (Right winger): 3

A rather woeful performance from Chelsea’s record signing on the night. Kai Havertz looked off the pace right from his first involvement in the game where he sold James short with an under-hit pass. The German never recovered from then on and in all fairness, should have been taken off at the interval. He made way for Abraham as the game entered its final quarter though. In the long run, let’s lay off the youngster a bit as he’s dealt with a lot over the last few months.

Olivier Giroud (Striker): 5

Like most strikers, Olivier Giroud relies on supply from teammates and he was starved of it for most of the game. He was probably lucky not to be sent off following some off-the-ball incidents with Yerry Mina and Richarlison, which stemmed from pure frustration during his poor performance. Giroud had only one real sight of goal where he blazed over from Timo Werner’s pullback.

Timo Werner (Left winger): 4.5

The absence of Christian Pulisic for the majority of the season has often resulted in Werner being fielded on the left wing. The German delivered another subpar performance as his goal drought stretched to six games though, proving a change of position could work wonders. The good thing is the games are coming thick and fast, so he will have an opportunity to break his mini duck again in a few days against Wolves.

Tammy Abraham (Left winger): 5

Abraham was unable to have any serious impact on the game after he came on for Havertz. In his defense, he was deployed as a winger for his cameo appearance, so maybe that explains his inability to influence the game in favor of his side.
