Timo Werner (Right winger): 5.5/10

Werner’s struggles in front of goal continued as he threw away two clear cut chances to add to his five Premier League strikes. Thankfully for him, the goals came from elsewhere so the misses may not be under the spotlight that much but frankly, he needs to start putting away his chances before it ultimately costs his side someday.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (Left Winger): 7/10

Hudson-Odoi was given a chance to feature in his more preferred role in attack and he did not let his manager down. The youngster was Chelsea’s brightest spark in the first half and it was his pass to Alonso that paved the way for the opener. His effect reduced as the game went on but it was still a wonderful 65 minutes of action before he paved way for Mason Mount.

Kai Havertz (Center Forward): 7/10

By far the German’s best outing in the league since his arrival from Leverkusen. Havertz was heavily involved in both Chelsea goals as his strike was deflected off Ben Godfrey for the first, before cleverly winning a penalty off Pickford for the second. The performance would have done his confidence a world of good and hopefully, he kicks on from here on in.

Mason Mount (Substitute): 7/10

Mount was given a rare break from the starting line-up but he came off the bench for the final quarter of the game. He completed all 13 of his passes, created two chances including one which Werner should really have scored. He continues to be a mainstay for the Blues and it is not hard to see why.

Christian Pulisic (Substitute): N/A

The American was introduced in the final minute of regulation time so there was barely any time to contribute meaningfully to the match.
