Mason Mount (Right winger): 9/10

What more can be said about the continuous emergence of a young talent who is taking the football world by storm? Mount had another special goal and a moment of brilliance, which is now a given any time he takes the pitch for Chelsea or England. The skill he displayed to send the defender for a hot dog and place the ball into the bottom corner from a tough angle just cannot be praised enough. This team is littered with attacking talents that cost millions and millions of pounds, but the one man that continuously puts the team on his back is the academy graduate. That’s something that should put a smile on every Chelsea fan’s face.

Timo Werner (Striker): 6/10

Everyone thought Olivier Giroud was going to start this game and when he wasn’t in the starting XI, it left many surprised. But one man’s loss is another man’s gain and that statement couldn’t be more relevant to Timo Werner. Sadly, once again, he failed take his opportunities and now serious questions need to be asked as to why he keeps starting these matches. I am losing my patience with him and many other Blues fans are as well, it’s time for others to get their chance. It may be harsh after a big win, but it’s clearly not Werner’s year and he isn’t going to play his way out of it.

Kai Havertz (Left winger): 6/10

Another disappointing performance from Kai Havertz. He didn’t do much, and when he was given a golden chance, the German got beat out by a 38-year-old centerback in Pepe. He was subbed off for Christian Pulisic and needs to put this performance behind him and bounce back. Nothing more to really say about it.

Christian Pulisic (Left winger): N/A

The American came on with 25 minutes to go and once again showed his quality. He isn’t afraid of getting tackled and keeps on trying to get by defenders using whatever means necessary. This effort got him the chance to get another goal, but sadly, the post stopped that. Regardless, he needs to start against Crystal Palace on Saturday because he can get a goal out of nothing

Olivier Giroud (Striker): N/A

Giroud should have been on the pitch from the start, but sadly that wasn’t to be. Instead, he got 25 minutes when the team was looking to keep the lead and didn’t get any chances as a result of that.

Emerson (Left winger): N/A

Emerson made his annual stoppage time appearance, but this time, the other left wingback scored the game-sealing goal.

Next. Chelsea: Marcos Alonso’s loss is Malang Sarr’s gain. dark
