2. Who starts up top?

Chelsea came home with an important away goal against Real Madrid in the first leg. However, people who watched the game closely know that Chelsea had the win in the bag. It was a recurring tale as the Blues rued their missed chances. For a team that is struggling to be clinical, would a proper striker bring some magic? The answer lies on Chelsea’s outskirts, but the manager and the board seem to be backing their big-money striker to save face in front of the world.

It rumored that Tuchel intends to buy a big-name striker in the upcoming window. The Tammy Abraham situation will have a significant effect on the youth players coming through the academy. Imagine what players like Ethan Ampadu and Connor Gallagher might be thinking about their future with the situations of Abraham and Gilmour.

The clubs seem to be back on the path of lavishly spending on transfer targets rather than trusting the upcoming youth players. The above might seem like a pessimistic view, but Chelsea struggles to score, and the club is apparently in the market for a striker. It is disheartening to see all of that with Abraham sitting on the bench.

Against Fulham, Tuchel could make the brave choice and give Tammy Abraham a complete game to prove himself. Werner was horrible with his finishing midweek, and Tuchel has to bench him immediately.
