Chelsea takes on Leicester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday at Wembley Stadium. The Blues are looking to win their first trophy in two seasons after falling flat against Arsenal in last season’s finale. Their challengers, the Foxes, are aiming to capture FA Cup glory for the first time in their history. Both Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rodgers will try to lead their teams to their first pieces of silverware under their current gaffers, but which one will emerge victorious?

Here is how The Pride of London staff sees the FA Cup final playing out:

More from FA Cup

Olaoluwa Nwobodo: 2-0 Chelsea

Both teams have earned their right to be here, defeating Manchester teams on their way to this final. It is perhaps a good thing the Blues lost just before they played this final, better to lose before the final than to lose the final. They have been defensively solid and have recently started creating more chances, they should have too much for Leicester to handle.

Tan Yi Hao: 2-0 Chelsea

It’s the start of a run of four “finals” for the Blues and as the disappointing loss to Arsenal showed, their season could all yet still come to nought. Tuchel’s team is on the verge of greatness and one final push from everyone, starting with a win in the FA Cup final, could set them on the path to eternal glory.

Scott Brant: 1-1 (Chelsea wins in ET or penalties)

Chelsea win a tight affair after the 90 minutes, whether in extra time or penalties. I am not as concerned with this final as I am the one at the end of the month. For that matter, I am less concerned with this final than I am the other match against Leicester. I would prefer to make top four and the Blues be guaranteed Champions League next season. Timo Werner is due for a goal.

Kevin Peacock: 2-1 Chelsea

This won’t be easy, but it is Wembley and Chelsea wins more games it plays there than not. The Blues’ disappointing defeat against Arsenal may be the catalyst that takes them to victory. Both teams will have one eye on the crucial game that follows mid-week, but it’s Chelsea’s experience on the big stage that sees it lift the FA Cup. Goals from Mason Mount and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Barrett Rouen: 2-1 Chelsea

I just think we’re better, but Kelechi Iheanacho will score because our defence is actually still rubbish, we just play with more of them now to hide their errors.

Abhishek Pancholi: 2-0 Chelsea

The first trophy of Tuchel’s Chelsea career, barring a Jorginho-esque brainfart.

Anthony Gatt: 1-0 Chelsea

The Blues got through their toughest hurdle—which was Man City—to get to another FA Cup final and should feel good to be the team lifting the trophy at full time, unlike last year. Make no mistake though, we have a fight ahead of us because Leicester is no slouch and we must secure two wins in less than week against them to achieve the goals that have been set out. It will be an evenly matched affair, but at the end, I believe the Blues will win 1-0, courtesy of Christian Pulisic.

Varun Dani: 2-0 Chelsea

The loss against Arsenal has literally made evey game from Saturday to the UCL final a must-win. Luckily, it’s these high-stakes affairs that push this squad to be at their best. Tuchel will not have minced his words post the midweek loss and he will have each player ready for four wars. For Mount and Co, it’s FA Cup redemption day.

Joel Kristian Frederick Burton: 2-0 Chelsea

Definitely will not be an easy game and I suspect it could get cagey at times as two tactically astute managers come up against one another. However, despite the defeat to Arsenal in midweek, if the Blues can keep doing what they have been doing recently while nullifying Leicester’s key players like James Maddison and Jamie Vardy, it should be another successful trip to Wembley.

Michael DeVito: 2-1 Chelsea

This is a heart call. I don’t like that Kepa Arrizabalaga is in goal at all—this is a final, you use your best. Tuchel is making a mistake, forget the baloney about he’s played in all the FA games. That being said, hopefully with Antonio Rudiger, N’Golo Kante and maybe Mateo Kovacic back, along with Werner, maybe they can beat Leicester. An early Arrizabalaga mistake could finish them. I can’t go along with that ridiculous move. Whether they win or lose, it’s a bad decision.

Gabe Henderson: 1-0 Chelsea

Kepa “Clean Sheets” Arrizabalaga leads the Blues to an FA Cup title triumph. Tuchel gets his first trophy in west London and his side is given a huge boost ahead of Tuesday’s crucial contest.
