Tuchel has proven to be an astute tactician and as pragmatic a coach as Chelsea needs as well. For what it’s worth I hope he sticks with a back three system simply because I prefer them but he has played many different ones in his career. He used both a 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 at Dortmund and 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 at Paris Saint-Germain.

He ultimately will come to the right decision. We know that sometimes it can take him time to figure out what is best but Chelsea can be confident that the players will be assessed fairly and like the great Antonio “Il Sartaio” Conte once said. The right “suit” will be tailored to the squad.

If Chelsea simply improve the size and athleticism of the team, two places they were lacking this season, can count on Tuchel to close the gap with and even challenge City in the Premier League next season as well as give the Blues a very good chance of repeating their win in the Champions League.
