Recent advancements in media have brought everyday fans closer to their favorite teams than ever before. Stadium tours and attending contests used to be the only ways to experience clubs up close and personal—that is not the case any longer. Chelsea’s YouTube channel has given supporters inside access to behind the scenes footage, but there are a handful of clubs that have gone one step further.

Borussia Dortmund, Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Manchester City and most recently, Tottenham Hotspur, have been subjects of Amazon Prime Video documentaries. The latter two popularized the company’s newest project, a series called “All or Nothing”. It was announced on Friday that Arsenal will be featured in the newest installment for the upcoming campaign. The trip around the largest clubs in London leaves fans wondering when the Blues will find themselves in the documentary, but don’t expect it any time soon.

Don’t expect Chelsea to be featured in Amazon Prime Video’s “All or Nothing” series any time in the near future.

The main reason for this is the club runs a very tight ship. This isn’t to say the aforementioned teams do not, but Chelsea is generally more private than others. The Blues remain professional on social media, seldom doing fun announcement videos or playful graphics, much like other European teams. Instead, they stick to the book and that’s why featuring in an “All or Nothing” series would be straying away from the norm for the club.

Another reason Chelsea is unlikely to star in the series is because the hierarchy and board are more reserved than that of other clubs. Roman Abramovich is still not allowed into the United Kingdom, so that rules out a Daniel Levy-esque cameo from the Blues’ owner. Levy played a massive role in giving viewers an in-depth look into the day-to-day operations during Tottenham’s season. Abramovich would be physically unable to mimic this role. Further, Marina Granovskaia is known to work in the shadows. You can count on one hand the amount of times she’s given public interviews. If it weren’t for her presence in the photos of new signings or extensions and her occasional appearance at a match, few outside of the club would even be able to pick her out of a crowd. The only person in a management position within the Blues’ hierarchy that is used to frequent public appearances is club legend and former goalkeeper, Petr Cech.

Lastly, the series would likely be seen as a distraction to manager Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel is very old school in the way he approaches management. He likes to block out all unnecessary noise from his players and shoulder the load himself so that they can focus solely on the upcoming games. This is not to say the German doesn’t enjoy having fun, he just likes to make the jobs of those around him easier.

As much fun as it’d be to see the inner workings of the defending Champions of Europe, it’s not something we’ll likely see for a long time. For now, we’ll have to settle for the fun-loving clips we see of the team on Twitter, the playful content from sponsors and the behind the scenes access from the Blues’ social media team.
