Mason Mount (Right winger): 8/10

Mason Mount was the engine behind Chelsea’s success. While he didn’t come close to scoring, he was always on the move, which allowed him to get an open play assist. Mount made all the right decisions attacking and defending. If that wasn’t enough, we are starting to see the signature “Mount turn” more and more. These finite details that he has improved since breaking through the team will help Chelsea in the fluidity of the attack. Therefore, we can expect great things from him.

Romelu Lukaku (Striker): 10/10

First game, first goal and excitement for what’s to come. It is hard not to make the resemblance of Didier Drogba with Romelu Lukaku, especially considering their games are so similar. Lukaku terrorized the Arsenal defense with his hold-up play throughout the entirety of the match. Although he hardly touched the ball in the opening minutes, he still managed to score. This is the type of striker Chelsea was missing. Tuchel won’t have to find creative ways to make the team score with performances such as Lukaku’s on Sunday. Rather, the Belgian will bully any defense to make it happen.

Kai Havertz (Left winger): 9/10

An impressive game by the German international against Arsenal. Kai Havertz was as creative as he was calm and collected. He switched with Mount many times throughout the game in order to help create different chances. His passing and movement off the ball was fantastic. He played fantastic balls to the forward and was always available. What was most impressive was Havertz’s inter-play and vision. The Premier League will finally see what he is capable of this year.

Hakim Ziyech (Right winger): 7/10

Nothing spectacular as Hakim Ziyech came on in the 82’ when the match was practically done. Ziyech did make the wrong decision a couple of time inside the box, but this can be excused as it is early in the season and the game was all but won.

Timo Werner (Left winger): N/A

Timo Werner came on late for Havertz, he wasn’t on long enough to get a rating though.
