Chelsea predicted XI against Aston Villa: 3-4-1-2 to return from break
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Right Wingback, No. 20, England
The suspension of Reece James means presumably Hudson-Odoi slots back in the right wingback position. The latter parts of last season when Tuchel came in he delivered outstanding performances in this position. Expect Callum to play and to be among the attacking treat down the right for the Blues.
Mateo Kovacic, Right Centermid, No. 8, Croatia
The injury doubt of N’Golo Kante and the unfamiliarity and the physicality of the Premier League will seem too soon to start on Saturday. This is where Chelsea is blessed to call upon someone like Kovacic with all his experience etc. The Croatian has delivered excellent performances when playing for the Blues whether off the bench or from the start.
Jorginho, Left Centermid, No. 5, Italy
The Italian maestro undoubtedly starts for Chelsea. Jorginho is in good form heading into this weekend’s match against the Villains. A decisive call will be if the Blues are awarded a penalty, who will take it Jorginho or Lukaku upfront. Jorginho has a total of 21 recoveries in only the first three league matches this season.
Ben Chilwell, Left Wingback, No. 21, England
Another close call in this position between Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell but I expect Ben to start and be subbed off in and around the hour mark. This fixture is a good game to get minutes in the bag for the England international considering the tough set of matches for the rest of the month. Chilwell last campaign played regularly against lower opposition sides that’s why this weekend is a perfect match for Chilwell to get back in the Chelsea line-up.
