1. Hakim Ziyech

Finally, the player who could make all the difference in the game is Hakim Ziyech. The Morrocan is yet to start a game in the league this season and he has only played three minutes in three matches so far. While this could be due to a slight injury he picked up during the Super Cup match against Villareal, it is also safe to say that the attacking midfielder is not one of Tuchel’s favorites. He is by no mean an average player, and his skills should put him in the first team for almost all clubs.

However, at Chelsea, there are just too many talents and he has been unable to impress Tuchel enough to give him a regular role in the starting XI. He had a less than spectacular debut season and he will be hoping that this year will be better. Ziyech would be a perfect starter for the match against Villa since he was one of the only star players who did not participate in the international games, thus he is fresh, and has practiced with the team more. Along with that, Kai Havertz is also a bit ill, although he played the match against Iceland. Havertz was suffering from mild flu a few days ago, and his performance against Iceland showed us that he is still not at his best. Thus, it will be a perfect time for the former Ajax man to show off his skills, and maybe even cement his place in the first team.

Next. Chelsea pays the price for Anthony Taylor’s incompetence. dark
