Mason Mount (No. 19) Central attacking midfielder, England

Mason Mount was less than impressive on the creative front in the Zenit game midweek. He still brings a lot to the side that is extremely valuable, especially when it comes to pressing and providing energy. Chelsea needs to match the effort of Tottenham on the day and Mount will help in achieving that, leading the way higher up the pitch. Mount has created the most big chances for Chelsea so far, so more of that against Spurs, please.

Romelu Lukaku (No. 9) Right forward, Belgium

Romelu Lukaku has been everything Chelsea would have wanted him to be when it broke its transfer record for him around a month ago. Lukaku has scored four goals in four games, despite the attacking midfielders behind them being less than impressive in terms of chance creation. At this rate, Lukaku is set to surpass his goal tally for either of his Inter Milan seasons—which is wildly impressive. There’s no reason the Belgian cannot bring the Premier League title back to Stamford Bridge later this year.

Timo Werner (No. 11) Left forward, Germany

Timo Werner has been the biggest loser so far this season with the arrival of Lukaku. He made 34 appearances last season, but has only started one game out of four this season. A lot of excitement has built at the prospect of seeing Werner alongside Lukaku. Lukaku’s efficiency at playing with his back to goal could mean a devastating partnership with Werner. Lukaku can drop deep and receive the ball with Werner running in behind and causing all sorts of problems for the Nuno’s makeshift defense.
