Chelsea has gotten off to a wonderful start this season that includes a plethora of clean sheets and a Super Cup trophy. The Blues haven’t looked fantastic yet as all of their attacking pieces haven’t quite clicked, but they are winning matches. Thomas Tuchel’s men have survived against some of the biggest teams in Europe and kept clean sheet after clean sheet. The task that lies ahead of them now is Nuno Espirito Santo’s relatively high flying Tottenham team. Spurs kicked off their campaign with a shocking win over Manchester City, but they were recently humbled by a clinical Crystal Palace performance. Nevertheless, all of the past results are thrown out of the window when these two sides get together. The Blues are looking to continue their unbeaten run in dramatic fashion from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; can they score the goals required to leave with all three points?

Here is how The Pride of London team sees the contest playing out:

Kevin Peacock: 1-2 Chelsea

It’s the old enemy and the game we always want to win. Until last weekend though, Spurs had started well. Nuno is a good manager, however, two words give the visitors an advantage: Romelu Lukaku. End of story. Chances are Harry Kane will fall over and pick up a penalty that, for all his greatness, Edouard Mendy will let in. Big Rom gets one goal and assists Mason Mount for the other.

Olaoluwa Nwobodo: 0-2 Chelsea

A fierce London derby that’ll probably have everything in it. Tuchel wants to build a team that no one wants to play against, this means that the boys will give it as good a go as they can. The Blues will want to keep pace with Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City, so they will want to make sure they win this game. Chelsea picked up four points from six last season against Spurs, let’s go pick six from six this season.

Subhrajit Chowdhury: 0-1 Chelsea

This will be yet another tough game for the Blues. If the midweek game against Zenit is anything to go by, Chelsea will struggle in the final third of the pitch yet again. My prediction is that we will create a lot of chances, however, will only score one goal. Our defense is looking strong, so we will be able to deal with anything that Tottenham may throw our way.

Gabe Henderson: 0-2 Chelsea

Is there any more Chelsea-Spurs scoreline than a good ‘ole 2-0? The Blues will run away with this one, but not without a few nerves throughout.

Anthony Gatt: 0-2 Chelsea

A fierce London derby is upon us. It would have been even more important if Tottenham had won last weekend, which would have meant that it would have taken 12 points from 12. Nevertheless, whoever wins this match will make a huge statement, not only for bragging rights, but to prove that they are firmly in the title race. I only see one result with the Blues leaving north London with three points with another Lukaku brace to top it all off.

Olly Smith: 2-3 Chelsea

A five-goal thriller will have Blues fans’ hearts racing. The scoreline wont tell the story of the Chelsea domination, but you just can’t stop Kane sometimes. Lukaku, Havertz and a late Werner winner for seal all three points for the visitors.

Mike Malley: 0-1 Chelsea

A win is a win, that’s all that matters. Chelsea should be able to take advantage of Spurs’ recent poor run of form, but who knows which version of the side from north London will show up? Even if Nuno can get his squad to perform at its best, Lukaku has proven capable of salvaging all three points by himself. The title challenge is truly on.

Abhishek Pancholi: 0-4 Chelsea

Half the Spurs team is currently either suspended or injured, which makes this game the perfect opportunity to really run riot.

Leighton September: 0-3 Chelsea

People might say that the Blues have been the most consistent and most feared team in all of Europe since the arrival of the German coach only eight months ago. Spurs have massive defensive worries—whether it’s injuries or suspensions. Chelsea will be gunning for a dominant victory and proof again why London is blue. I expect Lukaku to be heavily involved in the goals.

Varun Dani: 0-3 Chelsea

Despite a good start under Nuno, Spurs have slipped in the last two games. With a host of players unavailable via suspension or injury, the chances of any upturn in results is unlikely. Chelsea, on the other hand, is grinding out important results without necessarily putting in good performances. ‘Grit’ is certainly not a bad word to associate a team with, but Tuchel will be hoping that the Blues improve beyond that if they are to be serious title contenders.

Hugo Amaya: 1-2 Chelsea

A very tense London Derby. Although Spurs are known for bottling all accomplishments, Tottenham will put up a good fight. However, the organization, and clinical abilities of the Blues will be enough to see the game through. Goals from Mount and Havertz.

Nate Hofmann: 1-2 Chelsea

This is one of those classic “too easy on paper” situations. Spurs are missing a smattering of important guys, but Kane will be there, and he only needs a bit of help to make his mark on the scoresheet. Overall though, Chelsea is managing to win despite being rough around the edges. That form should get better and even the smallest uptick should be too much for Nuno’s gang to deal with.
