2. The young players are showing up

One of the best things that Tuchel is still doing is developing of young players. It was good to see Trevoh Chalobah on on the field against Villa in the League Cup and he did quite well alongside Malang Sarr. Apart from Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi also played in two very important matches. This shows that Tuchel is trusting the youth and giving a chance to the substitutes. Chalobah has continued to perform in his usual manner, and his cameo in a defensive midfielder position in Turin was also brilliant. On the other hand, Hudson-Odoi was lively in the match against Villa and also showed moments of brilliance against Juventus. Unfortunately, he could not help the Blues find an equaliser against the Italian side.

Loftus-Cheek is now in his mid-20s and it has been a while since supports have seen him play some proper football. However, Tuchel decided to trust him alongside Saul Ninguez in the Carabao Cup and he was one of the more dynamic players on the pitch. Loftus-Cheek was also lively when he came on against Juve. It just goes to show that these players can still be viable in the first team.

1. Tuchel has to find a new tactic

Right now, Tuchel is scratching his head wondering what has gone wrong lately. The Blues won four matches last month, but lost both the big games against Man City and Juventus. Something must be going wrong. In the match against City, Chelsea was not motivated and that was the reason the team was not being able to string attacks together. Tuchel changed from a defensive style to a more free-flowing and attacking style against Juventus, but the Blues lacked the creativity to break through the defensive wall. This is concerning for the German manager who demands perfect results from his team. Luckily for Tuchel, the season has just begun and although these are the formative moments, Chelsea is still in third in the league. The Blues should easily recover once he decides to implement new tactics. Tuchel is a mastermind and every great mind needs time to attain perfection. Yes, the Blues have looked a bit weary near the end of the month, but if anyone can turn them around, it’s Tuchel.
