3. Chelsea is a holistic team

As mentioned before, Chelsea is one of the most complete teams at the moment. Every one of their players knows their role and knows that scoring goals will win the matches. That is why Chelsea already has 17 different scorers for the team. They are not reliant on their strikers to get the goals and even players like Trevoh Chalobah and Antonio Rudiger have managed to score important goals. In the games against Norwich City and the Magpies, the whole game was controlled in the midfield and the defense played a high line to support the press. The wingbacks kept on pressing forward and both Reece James and Ben Chilwell ended up on the scoresheet.

Apart from the newly re-energized attack, the defense has been looking solid as always and Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen did not allow a single goal last month. Although Chalobah and Malang Sarr conceded a goal against Southampton, even their partnership looks steady and with more games under their belts, their chemistry will eventually start to grow. The Blues have only conceded one goal from open play in the league this entire season, and their defense is the main reason why they are at the top of the table.

The defense and the attack working together in a synchronized fashion with the backing of two solid goalkeepers, Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga, is what makes the Blues the most formidable team this season. Yes, they do have some problems with their strikers and yes, sometimes the team seems a bit too passive and defensive. However, Thomas Tuchel has obviously found a formula that works and right now, they are on the path to becoming the champions of England for the first time in five years. This is the most complete Chelsea team we have seen in quite a while and hopefully, it can carry this form till the end of the season.
