N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Romelu Lukaku, Mason Mount and Timo Werner are all out right for various reasons. Further, Christian Pulisic made his first appearance in over a month against Malmo. Therefore, to say this is a rough period of time Chelsea would be an understatement. Nevertheless, the Blues have managed to tap into their squad depth and make use of all the amazing players who do not get the chance to play regularly. Not only is this a lifeline for the London side, but it is also a blessing in disguise for those who have not been playing regularly. The team is playing in a very complete manner (i.e. every player on the pitch is playing on the same wavelength) and the results are proving this right now. Goals have been coming in from every position on the pitch and defending has been done as a complete unit. The team is working together effortlessly and Thomas Tuchel is the mastermind behind this amazing transformation. Even the goalkeeper union, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy, has a great bond and both of them are doing their respective work. However, as mentioned previously, a lot of mainstays in the starting XI are injured right now. Their return dates have not been announced yet either. Apart from Mount, who is just ill, the rest of them might take some time to get back. Thus, the benchwarmers will have to tough it out for the next few games. Chelsea has Burnley, Leicester City, Juventus and Manchester United left this month and the Blues will need to play their very best to beat at least three of those teams. Even Sean Dyche’s side can be annoying to play against, as the Clarets can be extremely tough to break down.

Here are three players from the Blues’ squad ranks that could end up being crucial to the team’s success for the remainder of the month:
