3. The return of Romelu Lukaku

Another big thing—or rather a player to look out for—will be Chelsea’s signing of the season, Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker was the talk of the town when he came back from Inter Milan to the Blues for a whopping £97.5 million. The striker did not fare well at Manchester United and was thus was sold to the Italian side. However, he completely reinvented his game under the guidance of Antonio Conte and became one of the most fearsome strikers in the world. He has also been nominated for the upcoming Ballon d’Or due to his performance with Inter last season.

He has been out injured since Chelsea’s 4-0 win against Swedish side Malmo in the UEFA Champions League. The big target man was injured in that match, alongside the Blues’ only other striker, Timo Werner. Thus the Champions of Europe were left without a striker for a month a half. Tuchel was forced to use Havertz as the false nine throughout October, but that will change as Lukaku will be fit enough for the upcoming game. The Belgian striker was supposed to start training from Sunday so he won’t be fit to start, but he will come off the bench on Tuesday.

Apart from Lukaku, Werner is also going to make a return as he has been training with the team since Saturday. Therefore, expect him to start. The timing could not be any better for Chelsea as Havertz is set to miss the match with an injury he picked up at the King Power Stadium. Mateo Kovacic has been ruled out of the game and thus, only Lukaku and Werner are the two players we can expect to make a comeback in the match against Juventus.
