N’Golo Kante (No. 7) Defensive midfielder, France

Chelsea needs players like N’Golo Kante to step up and become match winners. The squad lacks clear match winners, or players that can change the game’s outcome by themselves. Kante has done well in the past few games and his defensive contributions have been immense. He averages 2.1 tackles per game and 1.1 interception page game. Expect Kante to start against Spurs and do what he does best—dominate.

Jorginho (No. 5) Defensive midfielder, Italy

Jorginho hasn’t played a lot of football over the past few weeks. He has struggled to make an impact in the limited appearances that he has gotten. However, this seems like a game where Chelsea will need a midfielder Jorginho who can dictate the possession from the base of the midfielder. Expect Jorginho to do well against Spurs as the Blues look for momentum.

Mason Mount (No. 19) Attacking midfielder, England

Mason Mount’s presence on the pitch makes the team look better. His pressing and work rate are essential to Tuchel’s system, and it was strange to see that he wasn’t introduced till the dying minutes of the game against Manchester City. Mount will want to add to his goal tally against Spurs and find some form.

Christian Pulisic (No. 10) Attacking midfielder, United States

Christian Pulisic has struggled to lock down his spot in the starting line-up as he has been thrown here and there to play various positions. However, it is widely known that Pulisic can play his best football on the left of an attack. The American’s career has struggled to take off and his numbers support the arguments. Tuchel will hope that Pulisic can reward his faith and do something that will shake Spurs’ players.
