It’s been a long week for Chelsea fans. It began with their squad being defeated by Liverpool on penalties in the Carabao Cup final following a thrilling 120 minutes. As if that wasn’t emotional enough, the United Kingdom government backed Roman Abramovich into a corner, threatening him with harsh economic sanctions over Russia’s invasion with Ukraine. The oligarch decided it was finally time to sell the club he’s owned for the better part of the last two decades. That news dropped just minutes before Thomas Tuchel’s team took the pitch against Luton Town. Luckily, a lot of character was shown from the visitors on the night, who came from behind twice to eventually move onto the FA Cup quarterfinals, defeating the Hatters 3-2.

The news around the club’s sale has dominated headlines recently, so much so that many supporters have almost forgotten it’s time for their beloved Blues to take the pitch again on Saturday. They travel to northern England where they will take on an in-form Burnley side at Turf Moor. This is a huge three points for the Blues as they attempt to further distance themselves from the clubs scrapping it out for the top four. The reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 draw, how will this highly anticipated contest finish by the time the full-time whistle rolls around?

Here is how The Pride of London team sees the contest playing out:

Gerald Baffour: 0-2 Chelsea

Olaoluwa Nwobodo: 0-2 Chelsea

With everything going on around the club at the moment, Tuchel has a very difficult task of keeping the players focused going into games. The Blues got a well-deserved win against Luton Town in the FA Cup fifth round. They need that resilience again when they go to Turf Moor. Burnley is in good form, but Chelsea should have too much for the relegation scrapping Clarets.

Kevin Peacock: 1-1 Draw

Chelsea has had a difficult week, to say the least, perhaps the most tumultuous of recent years and something has to give. We know Burnley will attempt to rough up Tuchel’s Blues and it will take a strong will to resist. Personally, I hope this prediction is wrong and knowing Chelsea, it will probably win. After all, the Blues are at their best when their backs are against the wall. Mason Mount with the single goal for the visitors.

Gabe Henderson: 1-2 Chelsea

This game just screams an opening goal for Burnley—specifically Wout Weghorst—within the first half. It’s going to be a fluke goal, as well. No disrespect to the brilliant Dutch international, it just seems that’s always how things shake out when Chelsea takes on the Clarets. However, I’m going to back the Blues to complete a second comeback of the week and come away from Turf Moor with a massive three points that keeps them ahead of the pack in the top four race.

Anthony Gatt: 0-2 Chelsea
