Mason Mount (Right winger): 9.5/10

Mount did many things right on Thursday night. He created five chances, including two big chances. No one created more big chances than Mount on the pitch and he remains Chelsea’s highest big chance creator over the past two seasons. He also scored a beautiful goal to double the Blues’ lead in the first half. It is important to keep the stature of the opponent in mind, however, players have to perform against whichever teams they play against. Without Mount’s performance, Chelsea likely doesn’t win at Carrow Road. A goal and assist in a 3-1 win is an excellent performance and the Englishman deserves credit.

Kai Havertz (Center forward): 8.5/10

Kai Havertz also scored and assisted against the Canaries. The German is in blistering hot form and everyone at Chelsea would be hoping it continues. Maybe I should tweet things like this more often. Havertz took advantage of the space Norwich left—he even abused it. His movement was superb in stretching the defense across the pitch and opening up spaces along the back line. His goal came at a time the Blues needed it most as the game was slipping out of Chelsea’s control and hanging in the balance.

Timo Werner (Left winger): 5/10

Timo Werner was poor. He was as poor in this match as Havertz was in the reverse fixture. He was getting beat to balls by players he was supposed to be faster than, his touches were off and his passes weren’t connecting. That being said, he does look like a player who has as much confidence as a player who has only gotten seven starts out of 27 available. He does need a change of environment because he’s not going to get the chance to play his way back into form. Not with players like Romelu Lukaku, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech performing and fit.

Romelu Lukaku (Center forward): N/A

Lukaku played only a handful of minutes in the match. You could say he was involved in the build-up to Chelsea’s third goal, but you’d be stretching the meaning of the word “involved.” He was not expected to do anything in the few minutes he was on the pitch and he really didn’t.
