Hakim Ziyech (No. 22) Right winger, Morocco

Hakim Ziyech hasn’t featured for Chelsea in a while. He suffered another injury and had to spend a lot of time on the sidelines. Before getting injured, he was easily Chelsea’s best attacker and the Moroccan was toying with defences at ease. Tuchel will have to ask players to play out of position with several injuries and this could create a situation where Ziyech has to start against Newcastle. Expect the 28-year-old to start and wreak havoc down the right wing against the Magpies.

Kai Havertz (No. 29), Centre forward, Germany

Kai Havertz has been on an absolute roll in the past few games. He has taken the opportunity with both hands and cemented his place in the starting XI. A lot of credit goes to Tuchel as he had the patience and bravery to bench a record signing like Romelu Lukaku, all to start a former record signing who was struggling heavily in Havertz. The German’s movement has been fantastic and his exchanges with Mason Mount have been delightful. The duo was on song against Norwich as the Canaries’ defence was genuinely struggling to get a hold of the pair. Havertz deserves another start as he is finally oozing with confidence. The Newcastle match might not be a bad place to score a goal or two.

Mason Mount (No. 19) Left winger, England

Mount was perhaps Chelsea’s best player in the first half against Norwich. He moved forward with intent, showed great chemistry with Havertz up front and ended up with an assist and a great goal. After scoring, Chelsea’s golden boy celebrated by kissing the club’s badge. With players like Mount and Chalobah, nothing too terrible can happen to Chelsea Football Club, no matter the circumstances. Mount will start against Newcastle and show the visitors how it’s done.
