Mason Mount (No. 19) Right winger, England

Chelsea’s Man of the Match against Real Madrid was the Englishman after he scored the opening goal that led the Blues’ faithful to begin to dream. Mason Mount has arguably been Chelsea’s best player this season due to his incredible creation and goalscoring numbers. The 23-year-old has 11 goals and 14 assists so far. He’s put together an incredible season that’s only added to his Chelsea Player of the Year-winning campaign he had last year. Since the start of last season, Mount is one of two Englishmen to produce 20+ goals and 20+ assists for a Premier League side, which is quite an accomplishment considering the attacking talent in Gareth Southgate’s squad. Last weekend, Mount scored two and assisted one as the Blues thrashed Saints 6-0.

Kai Havertz (No. 29) Center forward, Germany

One of the most in-form players over the last couple of months who has stepped up when the Blues needed a goal has been the wunderkind himself, Kai Havertz. The German has scored more goals for Chelsea this season in his last nine appearances than his first 27 appearances combined. He’s got seven goals in his last nine, compared to only six from his first 27 outings. Havertz is keeping summer signing Romelu Lukaku out of the starting line-up with his brilliant form and he’s really blossomed into one of the best young attacking talents in world football.

Timo Werner (No. 11) Left winger, Germany

The starting left winger against Crystal Palace should be the Chelsea player who’s been reborn in the last couple of weeks, Timo Werner. The German has 10 goals and five assists this season, the third-most goal involvements for the Blues in all competitions. Werner has started all the matches in this year’s FA Cup, scoring two goals and adding two assists, as well.
