The Blues’ last match of the season has finally arrived, with lowly Watford traveling to Stamford Bridge before descending into the lower depths of the English football pyramid for at least the 2022/23 campaign. Chelsea will officially finish in third place of the Premier League with the European Super Cup and Club World Cup added to the trophy cabinet. The club’s off-the-field affairs did undoubtedly defined the past 10 months though. Big names such as Roman Abramovich, Antonio Rudiger and potentially Cesar Azpilicueta are departing west London with the gratitude of the entire fanbase, and at least the latter two will get the send-off they deserve. For the final time, Thomas Tuchel and his squad will take the pitch as European Champions.
There is still one last job for us, as well, fellow gamblers. Ending this season on a high note probably won’t have any effect on our future fortunes, but it’s always good to carry positive vibes into the long summer months without club football. Chelsea is heavily favored on the moneyline and the value on Blues’ props is pretty limited, so I’ll definitely be looking for creative ways to find the plus juice. My advice? Go heavy on a few two-leg parlays that combine for positive odds, but don’t get too greedy. After all, winning $15 at +150 is always smarter than losing $5 at +400.

Here is the gambling guide to Chelsea’s Premier League game against Watford
The Hornets’ relegation was sealed weeks ago and their recent results are certainly those of a side fitted for the Championship. Watford hasn’t won since the last international break and only picked up a single point from eight matches during that timespan. Scoring goals has been an arduous task for the club from Hertfordshire all season long, with young forwards like Ismaila Sarr, Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Dennis failing to find their top form. The Nigerian is Watford’s leading scorer with 10 goals, but I wouldn’t expect much fight from Roy Hodgson or his squad. The Chelsea clean sheet prop (-135) seems pretty safe to me.
The oddsmakers must’ve had some luck with the over/under number changing to 3.5 for the Leicester City match because they’ve gone with it again for Sunday. I’ve got no problem with this for a few reasons; principally because I cashed the under on Thursday, but also because of these two sides’ recent results. Only one of Chelsea’s previous five matches has seen more than three goals, while the same is true for two of Watford’s last five. These are not high-scoring teams, so I’ll continue riding this under until it fails me. -135 is pretty good value, as well.
Official odds (via WynnBet as of May 22)
Chelsea ML: -550
Watford ML: +1600
Draw: +650
Over/Under: 3.5 (+110/-135)
My picks
Seeing as the fanfare surrounding Sunday’s clash is significantly more important than the match itself, I’m going to avoid betting on the final result altogether. I’m hoping Tuchel will use the lack of consequence as an excuse to give Rudi, Azpi and the other wantaways proper goodbyes. I know seeing our captain depart is going to hit me hard. With that being said, my final picks for the 2021/22 season are in. Give me the Chelsea clean sheet prop and under 3.5 total goals scored, both of which have odds of -135. Lastly, I’ll take the Blues to lead at the half at -180 odds.
I’d also like to have a little fun for the concluding game of this difficult campaign. For those of you who have been following my picks closely, you’ll know that I am still yet to hit on an anytime goalscorer bet. I’m going to give it one last shot here. Reece James has by far been Chelsea’s best player since he returned from injury at the beginning of April, but he hasn’t found the back of the net yet. I’ll back our starlet to score, and at +280 odds, I’m feeling dangerously confident.
