Cesar Azpilicueta

The Spaniard started as a fullback on Wednesday and he was non-existent in the attacking play. Defensively, the club captain was solid, despite the team conceding two goals in the first half. The Blues’ captain looks set to start on Saturday with Chalobah out on injury.
And Fofana might need to wait till the next Gameweek.

MIDFIELDERS

Marc Cucurella

Cucurella has been a breath of fresh air, hasn’t he? The Spaniard is a much different player than any wingback Chelsea has had over the last few years. Technically, he’s an absolute joy to watch. Cucurella’s full talent was on display against the Foxes and is especially dangerous whenever he links up with Raheem Sterling on that left wing to create chances.

Conor Gallagher

Conor Gallagher would be returning from a one-match ban which he picked up against Leicester city. He will likely feature as the central midfielder in this set-up who’s tasked with helping Jorginho by forming a strong force down the middle in the midfield pivot. He would be like a central midfield role compared to the usual attacking No. 8 role he is used to which is his used to. Primarily, because of the injuries currently rocking the midfield with Loftus Cheek the most recent name considered unavailable due to hamstring injury picked up at St. Mary.

Gallagher is a brilliant player, but he cannot be of any use to Chelsea if he’s not deployed in the position he can improve the team in. That role of a midfield pivot is one Chelsea looked to have strengthen on deadline day with the acquisition of Denis Zakaria but the Juventus loanee might only get a mere second half cameo against West Ham.
