Chelsea at Dinamo Zagreb: Predicted XI to kick off the UCL
Whether you agree with it or not, Ziyech is Chelsea’s most creative passer and it’s no surprise that the club has not created many quality chances this season considering that he’s sat out most of the action. The Moroccan led Chelsea in shot-creating actions per 90 minutes last season for players who played up to 1000 minutes. He also led the team with big chances per game and big chances per 90, totaling the second most clear-cut chances for the Blues in the league (9). He is also Chelsea’s best long-range shooter. He was solid, though not great against Southampton, winning 8 out of 13 duels, making 6 defensive actions, and winning 3 fouls.
Raheem Sterling (No. 17) Left wing forward, England
Sterling has been the only consistent forward on the team since the start of the season. He now has three goals in six games and is Chelsea’s highest scorer so far. He has also created the most clear-cut chances for CFC (3), though he has just one assist.
Kai Havertz (No. 29) Center forward, Germany
Havertz probably got himself another starting position by scoring the winner in the London derby on Saturday. He took the goal well and while he didn’t do much else, a winning goal versus West Ham United is plenty!
