Ben Chilwell
After his goal and assist against West Ham United on Saturday, it was no surprise that Chilwell returned to the starting XI. But the England international was unable to maintain his attacking threat during the first half in Zagreb. Chilwell was unlucky not to get an assist after the interval but had started his run just too early and was rightly flagged offside. Was replaced with 20 minutes to play. 4

Kai Havertz
Restored to the starting XI after his late winner against West Ham, Havertz started well but faded after Dinamo went ahead. There were a couple of eye-catching runs from the German and he was presented with Chelsea’s best opportunity of the game after Mount found him in the area. Unfortunately, his header was blocked. 5

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
After just two training sessions, Aubameyang was thrown into the CFC attack. He started off well and had two good shooting opportunities after breaking into the Dinamo penalty area, but the 33-year-old opted to play a pass rather than release a shot from an angle.

Aubameyang did have the ball in the net in the second period; a finish from close range after the ball had been placed across goal by Chilwell. Yet it was ruled out for offside. The striker was replaced by Armando Broja with 30 minutes remaining. 4
