Mateo Kovacic (No. 8) Central midfielder, Croatia
Kovacic’s distribution and ability to beat a press will be key against Fulham as they are very good off-the-ball. Kovacic has been missed as he has been one of Chelsea’s best creators from central midfield.

Jorginho (No. 5) Central midfielder, Italy
Jorginho would be key to how Potter wants to play as the English manager will also want to play a similar possession-based, slow buildup type of style as Tuchel. Jorginho has not been great this season though he was the Blues’ best player against Zagreb despite coming on for 31 minutes. He completed 88% of his passes and won an outstanding 9/9 ground duels. He also won 7/7 tackles. Chelsea also started playing much better when he came on, which should not be a surprise.

Marc Cucurella (No. 32) Left wingback, Spain
Potter worked with Cucurella at Brighton, though Chilwell seemed to be the starter at the time Tuchel was sacked. Cucurella likely becomes the preferred option as he was not only bought by Potter at Brighton, he was scouted by Potter’s team.

Mason Mount (No. 19) Central attacking midfielder, England
Mount has been given the keys to Chelsea’s chance creation this season and he has fallen short so far. Mount has created zero big chances in the seven games he has played this season so far.
