Pride of London scrutinise Chelsea’s three most accurate and inaccurate FIFA 23 ratings in EA Sports’ final emblematic edition of the video game.

Witnessing the end of the FIFA Football name in 2023 will actually be a little saddening when it departs from how it has been known and loved for almost 30 years. The new edition will be EA Sports FC for subsequent instalments, not a particularly inspiring labelling choice, in my opinion.

Though, if the major alteration stops at branding with playing experiences, modes, leagues, tournaments, clubs and athletes remaining unchanged, there really is not much to worry about. Additionally, “Ultimate Team, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and VOLTA Football will all be there”, as per EA. The modern engine has been decent, gameplay-wise. Having said that, there are aspects which need work. Let’s hope efforts were made to rectify the experience.

As someone who has been enjoying the franchise since, I believe, FIFA World Cup 98, I feel honoured and qualified to report on CFC’s fresh scores. Although, you may be upset to hear that I haven’t managed to retain my Nintendo 64. Wow, this really makes me feel old! Anyway, click the link below to start the proper review with three appropriately rated Blues.
