Chelsea at Crystal Palace: Premier League betting guide
By Mike Malley
Here is Pride of London’s betting guide ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match at Crystal Palace. Graham Potter’s maiden EPL clash for the Blues.
It’s been quite a while since Chelsea has played a consistent run of games, but the matches will be coming fast and furious starting this weekend. The Blues will need to come out of the international break strong after struggling to start the season, and Graham Potter is under significant pressure to deliver improved results immediately. Many fans are still skeptical at Thomas Tuchel’s dismissal following the defeat at Dinamo Zagreb, so the new man at the helm will have very little room for error in terms of public sentiment. I really hope the Englishman can turn things around at Stamford Bridge. The club is in big trouble if he can’t.
Potter and his squad will not have an easy task in their first match after the break, though, as a trip across the capital will likely be more difficult than it normally is for the Blues. Patrick Vieira has put together a group of young, dynamic players who have incredible quality on the ball and can spring an effective counterattack with ease. While Crystal Palace’s results haven’t been impressive to start the campaign, Saturday’s opponent is genuinely a fun team to watch with a few forwards who could probably help CFC’s front line in Wilfried Zaha, Michael Olise, and Eberechi Eze.
