I like Palace to find the back of the net at least once at Selhurst Park, so taking over 0.5 goals for the home side at -188 odds seems like a solid play. I’m sadly confident that Potter can’t sort out all of Chelsea’s defensive woes without extended training time.

Official Chelsea odds (via FanDuel as of September 29)

Chelsea ML: -125

Crystal Palace ML: +350

Draw: +260

Over/Under: 2.5 (+102/-124)

My picks:

More dropped points so early in the campaign would seriously put the Blues’ chances at qualifying for Europe next season at risk, especially when you consider how well the other big six teams are playing, so calling Saturday’s match a must-win doesn’t feel too hyperbolic. Regardless of the outcome on the pitch, though, we gamblers can still be victorious.

Hot. CFC transfer rumours: Bennacer, Dumfries, Leao. light

I’ll ride with two props to start; the aforementioned over 0.5 home goals at -188, as well as both teams to score at -116. The latter has become something of a favorite for me this season, hitting four of the seven times I’ve bet on it. Finally, I’ll back Chelsea to end this horrendous skid and beat Palace outright, although I’m not overly optimistic like I would’ve been in past years. The value at -125 odds makes it well worth the risk, in my opinion.
