Following an impressive win against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, Graham Potter talked rotation and Chelsea’s fine attitude. In addition to that, Christian Pulisic has a warning for Champions League rivals AC Milan.

Three consecutive wins in eight days has ignited the rocket that is Graham Potter’s Blues. In all seriousness, the astute yet risk-taking Englishman appears to be the perfect tonic for CFC at present. He is noticeably growing into the role on and of the pitch at Stamford Bridge and the Cobham training ground after around one month in the job.

Appointing a head coach untested at these heady heights was a potentially hazardous move by CFC. Many fans suggested as much on social media and between one another in pubs, etcetera. Yet some of us believed a patient, studious approach was necessary because of the infancy of the new ownership. Hopefully Potter carries on in this contemporary vein.

The 47-year-old managed to triple up on wins in October even after rotating his starting XI fairly heavily for the Wolves clash. On the subject of alterations to his team, he said, tellingly, ‘We can’t succeed just with just eleven players’. The boss admitted that some of the omitted stars had injuries, fitness problems or were recently recovered and therefore weren’t to be risked with another game versus Milan on Tuesday. Naturally the strongest possible Blues team is expected in Italy.

The flexibility of the former Swansea City and Brighton & Hove Albion boss has been cited many times over the previous two months. But I think the increased ruthlessness of attack must also be noted due to the ratio of goals as well as chances increasing among various competitors. Important personnel such as Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic are again notching goal involvements, crucially.

More positivity radiated from Potter post-match, as he disclosed further details about his squad. He praised the ‘attitude’ of his men and spoke of their ‘effort’ in adapting to his methods. The ex-Seagulls man proclaimed that “They’re a good group to work with”.

Christian Pulisic’s warning to AC Milan about Chelsea

Speaking of Pulisic, he cautioned the Rossoneri before the meeting. The America captain declared that Chels’ “have a very strong team and amazing depth, guys that can come in and do a great job”.
