Chelsea travels to Brentford on Wednesday to take on Thomas Frank’s men. This is PoL’s expected Blues XI.

Ivan Toney is in-form at the moment, having scored eight goals so far, including one hat trick. Chelsea should have enough about them to keep Toney and his entourage quiet, as long as they don’t do whatever it is they did in the first half against Aston Villa. Graham Potter’s men were under attack for almost all of the first half, forcing Kepa Arrizabalaga into difficult saves to keep the Blues in the game. Brentford has more potential to trouble the Blues, so Chelsea has to be extra careful in this one. Here are the players likely to start for CFC tomorrow:

Kepa Arrizabalaga of Chelsea (No. 1) Goalkeeper, Spain

Arrizabalaga has played three league games this season and has kept clean sheets in two of them. Even more impressive, is the fact that he has saved 92 per cent of the shots he’s faced in that time. His best performance so far has to have been the Aston Villa game, where he made four saves in the first half of the game, denying Villa a goal from any of their four big chances. Arrizabalaga takes full credit for Chelsea’s clean sheet in this one. Full credit.

Trevoh Chalobah (No. 14) Right centerback, England

Chalobah has made himself undroppable, which is good to see. He was sidelined under Thomas Tuchel and got his chance to impress when Wesley Fofana got injured against AC Milan. He took the opportunity with both hands. He has been superb so far and has been part of Chelsea’s last four back-to-back clean sheets, starting all the way back from the game he came on as a substitute for Fofana.
