Marc Cucurella: 6.5/10

Cucurella played just 36 minutes in a game that showed that perhaps Graham Potter appreciates Ben Chilwell’s attacking qualities more than he does Cucurella’s. It is strange that Cucurella was the one he took off.

Cesar Azpilicueta: 5/10

Azpilicueta was off his game today. He won just 2/7 duels and was off in his distribution. He didn’t contribute much in this game offensively or defensively.

Jorginho: 7.5/10

Jorginho’s numbers show that Chelsea was overrun in midfield today. His passing was poor, completing less than 80 per cent of them. He won an impressive 8/11 duels though and won five tackles out of six he contested. He showed great composure for the penalty he scored.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek: 6/10

Loftus-Cheek was underwhelming. He won 5/11 duels and completed zero dribbles. His performance can be summed up with the fact that despite how much the Blues midfield was dominated, he made only three defensive actions.

Ben Chilwell: 6/10

Chilwell lost possession 21 times and created zero chances. If that doesn’t say it all, I don’t know what will say it better!

Mason Mount: 6.5/10

Mount was also ineffective, though he created the Blues’ only non-penalty big chance, which deserves credit. He was poor in his crossing and his duels, completing 1/6 crosses and winning 4/13 duels. He didn’t make up for it with his dribbling either.
