Jorginho (No. 5) Central midfielder, Italy

Jorginho’s distribution against Salzburg was fantastic. Unfortunately, he was ineffective in controlling the midfield and by extension, the game. He showed great positioning at several points, winning three key interceptions.

Mateo Kovacic (No. 8) Right central midfielder, Croatia

Kovacic was good in mid-week. He scored a great goal, making it five goals now as a CFC player. His distribution was very good in the Salzburg clash, though he also did not help in controlling the game. He made an impressive 10 passes into the final third.

Raheem Sterling (No. 17) Left attacking midfielder, England

Sterling played as a left wide midfielder versus Salzburg. He created a game-high four chances in the match. He has not lit it up this season, even though he started very well.

Mason Mount (No. 19) Right attacking midfielder, England

Mount got a deserved rest against Salzburg and he should be more refreshed for this game against Brighton. He recently came into form, though he was average in the last match against Manchester United.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (No. 9) Center forward, Gabon

Aubameyang was very good against Salzburg. He did miss a big chance, but he took six shots and five of them were on target. This is an improvement on previous games, as he had not been getting into many shooting positions. He needs to keep up with he did against RBS.
