Sam Kerr spoke on the upcoming fixture and the importance the fans will play in a match like this:

"“We need them. We feel the support away and back home at Kingsmeadow. Hopefully, we can pack out the Bridge. It’s a London derby, it’s always a good game against Tottenham. We need them just as much as they need us out there playing. They are always our 12th player and we need them.”"

A few days ago, the club announced a second game this season at Stamford Bridge. The Blues will battle Paris Saint-Germain in the last group stage match under the lights. Even a few years ago, not even Hayes would have dreamed of playing at a stadium like Stamford Bridge twice in one season, but the growth of the women’s game and the acceptance of this team by the new ownership has allowed for the Chelsea Women to continue to grow their brand.

Last time at the Bridge, the club gave out free tickets to the supporters, but this time around, there is clearly no need to do that. Spence started the last time the Blues played at Stamford Bridge, but now she will be on the other side of the pitch, fighting for the opposition.

Coming off an 8-0 win over the Seagulls, Spurs have plenty of confidence and momentum to possibly shake up the WSL table by taking points off Chelsea in a game with more build-up than usual. It has been a long time coming for the Blues’ return to Fulham Road, but for the first time in three years, the Chelsea Women are geared up to pick up three points in front of a record crowd that is no doubt going to be remembered forever in club lore.
