Chelsea are planning two friendlies while the World Cup continues. The Pride of London discuss developing Blues news and speculation.

The international tournament is heating up as we approach the final group games. There are many Chelsea stars competing in Qatar. Most recently Thiago Silva’s Brazil managed to beat Switzerland 1-0 thanks to a goal from Manchester United midfield man Casemiro. The Brazilians now sit atop Group G following two victories and two clean sheets for Silva.

Meanwhile transfer news, or rumours, have begun multiplying. Unfortunately, we shall discover later on in this very article that the pull of the Stamford Bridge side may not be what it once was in recent history. In addition to possible incomings in January, some unsettled players supposedly want to jump ship.

One man who hasn’t overly impressed but hasn’t been gifted a bunch of opportunities to show what he can do regularly in 90 minutes, is Hakim Ziyech. You can read more on the Moroccan’s likely future by clicking here.

Whilst the World Cup progresses, CFC personnel left behind will now practise at Cobham and then travel to an Abu Dhabi training camp. They will also play a friendly against Aston Villa on December 11, and want another this week.

Journalist reveals Chelsea rejection

Transfer expert Christian Falk revealed some interesting Blues transfer information earlier in the week. This revelation appears to have gone slightly under the radar with regard to mainstream news. Basically, the BILD reporter often sporadically offers followers fascinating facts about the inner workings of secured moves, as well as potential switches.

On this occasion Falk spoke of the west Londoners’ admiration of Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer. Laimer is a 25 year old midfielder who CFC have tracked for a while. The latter has certainly earned his plaudits.

However, the Austrian apparently rejected Chels’ advances. Furthermore, Falk tweeted that the Bundesliga man wants to join Bayern Munich in the coming summer. We now also have an update even hotter off the presses: ‘he is on the verge of joining Bayern at the end of the season’!

According to Florian Plettenberg, the German outfit have a verbal agreement but no medical has yet been undertaken. I know Laimer’s Versatility is lauded and he is a great presser as the writer states. Although I’m unconvinced that this deal would have made or broken a Chelsea window.
