A fresh report from a transfer specialist claims that West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is more likely to sign for Chelsea than Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund. Both are England stars and could well enhance the Blues team.

Maybe CFC fans won’t want to admit it, but some of their favourite contemporary icons might perhaps depart Stamford Bridge at the end of the current season. Unfortunately, two of those athletes play in the same position: N’golo Kante and Jorginho in defensive midfield. This means a hole will probably open up in the middle of the park – unless it is filled by a quality Chelsea transfer.

Even if only the Frenchman goes and the Italian stays, there is still a need for an eminent DM, in my humble opinion. Rice and Bellingham are constantly linked with a move to Fulham Road, and either would be ideal. The latter is more forward-thinking, but would be playable pretty much anywhere on the pitch in elite football.

I don’t need to explain just how good both are in similar roles or in general to anybody reading. Suffice to say that the Pride of London would be pleased with either signing for Chelsea. Although, a reporter declares Manchester City in pole position for Bellingham’s signature. Meanwhile, Rice’s likely ultimate destination is CFC.

Juventus to pull out all the stops in order for Mason Mount transfer with suggestion the Chelsea rejected new contract offer

That’s right, PoL’s rather lengthy subheading is quite the eye-catcher. During the early stages of the World Cup, there were reports that the England international had declined to sign an extension at the Bridge. Soon afterwards, those same stories were subsequently refuted by reputable journalists covering the west London side.

However, this report states that Mount has turned down a £200,000-per-week deal with his boyhood team. This news still feels unlikely. But the assertion is within the realm of possibility due to Chelsea’s recent struggles to maintain a superclub status. Not to mention the club’s momentous transition period, which is still developing and causes uncertainty.

Mount has roughly one-and-a-half years remaining on his existing agreement, so there is no immediate rush for him to put pen to paper. At this point, it is more about ‘statement securing’ than necessity. A player can also be reassured, further at ease and comfortable when these negotiations are successful.

Juventus are supposedly hovering for Mount; if Juve can tempt him in any way they shall, unhappiness over salary is a typical way in for external outfits. La Vecchia Signora (The Old Lady, in English) would reportedly be willing to allow Leandro Paredes, Weston McKennie and Adrien Rabiot – who just lost the big final with France – to leave in order to acquire the Three Lions luminary.
