1. Denis Zakaria of Chelsea

The Swiss International who suffered due to lack of game time for almost the entire first half of the season has managed to turn the tables and complete 90 minutes for the first time in a Blue shirt. Yet again, Zakaria was the dominant source in midfield and will now look to cement his name in CFC’s playing XI. The midfielder covered lots of ground and contributed effectively to the defence as well as the attack. Zakaria was valorous in possession, robust defensively and his tidy footwork helped him under pressure. After bossing the midfield, large parts of the fanbase believe that if he continues to perform, the west Londoners must exercise the option to make his stay permanent.

2. Carney Chukwuemeka

The former Aston Villa wonderkid was introduced early into the game after Christian Pulisic suffered an injury through John Stones’ pivotal tackle. Chukwuemeka didn’t take long to settle in as he looked explosive from the moment he stepped onto the pitch. The youngster’s attempt almost got secured his first Blues goal but it was not meant to be as his shot hit the post in the first half itself.
