Although Chelsea struggled a bit after the resumption of the second half, Chukwuemeka remained unfazed and carried out his duties very well. He dropped deep when required and also made some clean tackles. Considering the current injury crisis that the club is facing, Potter will be proud of our prodigies as they have stepped up in our time of need. Lewis Hall and Conor Gallagher too managed to impress the fans by showing great character and spirit after being introduced in the second half and will look forward to the FA Cup fixture on Sunday.

3. Kalidou Koulibaly

The Senegalese International has been getting a lot of stick from the fans for his recent substandard performances. And on the other days, his performances have been overlooked due to the veteran Thiago Silva, who has been the heart of our defence. However, Koulibaly’s performance yesterday cannot be left unnoticed. The former Napoli star had a very solid game where he was found covering for Marc Cucurella’s mistakes on numerous occasions.

The Spanish left back struggled to cope defensively and was left exposed multiple times, out of which one lead to the only goal. Koulibaly celebrated tackled and showed great levels of commitment which was lacking over the last few games. He also completed more successful passes and won more attacking aerial duels than other CFC players. The Chelsea supporters were glad as they finally got a glimpse of the player Koulibaly can prove to be.
