Chelsea managed to snatch Mykhailo Mudryk under Arsenal’s nose. Mudryk’s arrival seems to have changed the fortunes at Stamford Bridge as Graham Potter’s side registered their first win since the turn of the year. Chelsea have already added a competent winger in Mykhailo Mudryk but the Blues are still in the chase of Noni Madueke of PSV.

CFC have already splashed €100 million to strengthen the flanks as Mudryk has arrived as a big-name transfer to Stamford Bridge in January, taking the total to five January arrivals now. David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile and Joao Felix have also joined the Blues in the winter transfer window.

Similar to many English clubs, Chelsea are looking to overhaul their attack in the winter transfer window and signing Mudryk isn’t going to quench their thirst as Madueke remains a target for the Blues.

With the arrival of Mudryk, Chelsea now have Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech as wingers. If the Blues are successful in their operation to sign Madueke, they will have a promising right winger in their ranks too, adding competition to Sterling and Ziyech.

PSV reject Chelsea bid for Noni Madueke

According to Dutch media outlet Voetbal Primeur, PSV have rejected a €30 million offer from Chelsea for Madueke as the money offered has been regarded as too low. PSV are aware that they could lose their prized asset in January. Cody Gakpo has already moved to Liverpool and there’s real danger that Madueke might also leave Eindhoven.

PSV have outright rejected the €30 million offer from the Blues and if Chelsea have serious intentions to sign the 20 year old winger, they will have to bring a bigger cheque to the negotiations table. Given Chelsea’s humungous spend, it remains to be seen if they will come with an improved offer for Madueke.

According to journalist Rob Pratley, Chelsea are aware of PSV’s €40 million asking price and they are looking to structure a deal that will have a number of add-ons. The England U-21 star is content at PSV but will be willing to make a switch if two clubs come to an agreement. Madueke is a direct suggestion from Chelsea’s new technical director, Christopher Vivell, as he had suggested Madueke to RB Leipzig when Vivell was at the German club.

With 14 days still to go, Chelsea have ample time to revisit and make a second bid for Madueke as a mega overhaul continues under Todd Boehly.
