Benoit Badiashile, No. 4, Centerback, France

Badiashile was superb on his Premier League debut, winning all but three of the duels he contested. He won 5/6 ground duels and 6/8 aerials duels. If he keeps this up CFC would enjoy more clean sheets down the line. He also had nine clearances and four tackles. He completed 96% of his attempted passes and made five progressives passes

Thiago Silva, No. 6, Centerback, Brazil

Silva looked very good in partnership with Badiashile against Palace. Badiashile seemed to be the more aggressive of the pair, stepping out often to make tackles and break up play, preventing things from developing. Silva won all of his duels, winning 5/5 ground duels and 6/6 aerial duels. He and Badiashile dealt with Palace’s aerial assault well when the time came.

Marc Cucurella, No. 32, Leftback, Spain

No one knows what’s going one between Cucurella and Potter, but the events of the Palace game seemed to suggest that something was definitely going on when Lewis Hall started over the former Brighton fullback, however, things got even stranger when Hall went down injured and Potter opted to bring on an underperforming Kalidou Koulibaly at left back, instead of the Spaniard. The west London outfit doesn’t have the luxury of keeping fully fit fullbacks on the bench for long though, so except Cucurella to start again.
