Stunning Chelsea starting XI with Felix, Mudryk and injured stars
The Pride of London outline a stunning possible Chelsea starting XI which includes Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and other soon-to-return stars such as Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Ben Chilwell.
Times are hard at Stamford Bridge and on the road for the Blues at present. But don’t get too downhearted as all is not lost. In fact, you could say all is being gained with the mega-spending conducted by chairman Todd Boehly. £493million has been spent by CFC since the summer, if you include £53m Christopher Nkunku who won’t join until the end of 2022/23.
If you want a clear and obvious statement of intent from the current ownership group, there you have it. The talent which is being ‘collected’ is eclectic and widespread to say the least. Boehly, Graham Potter, the scouts – if any are actually in proper practice with the ferocity and swiftness of recent acquisitions – and recruitment staff won’t get it right every time. Although, it appears that if you put enough fishing rods out and make a haul – some of the enormous catch will be of high quality.
Following Mykhailo Mudryk’s electrifying cameo appearance versus Liverpool at Anfield, hope is reignited that the future is bright. Someone on Twitter – forgive me but I can’t remember who, a Chelsea journalist I think – posted the best verdict on the rapid and tricky Ukrainian after the Reds draw on Saturday. The person said roughly that ‘Mudryk is the only Blue to have gotten me out of my seat with excitement since Eden Hazard!’. That was quite the approval, recommendation and commendation for the winger.
With other great signings in mind, PoL wanted to create its ideal starting XI for this season. A core including Thiago Silva, James, Chilwell, Mason Mount – if he ever consistently rekindles formerly great form – and Kai Havertz, along with injured prospects such as Wesley Fofana, means for an already incredible potential Chels‘ lineup.
I would select Hakim Ziyech, it just feels as though he’ll be sold. Some supporters may also prefer Conor Gallagher to Mount, among other changes. Maybe you’d wanna fit Noni Madueke in somewhere, too.
Kepa Arrizabalaga; Chilwell, Fofana, Silva, James; N’golo Kante; Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount; Joao Felix, Mudryk; Havertz.
