Chelsea have been extremely busy in the winter transfer window with seven incomings. The Blues have made some stellar moves in the transfer market that have sent a strong message about their intentions going forward. Chelsea are still not showing any signs of stopping and are expected to be a busy club on the transfer deadline day.

CFC have already signed big names like Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke. They are also pushing to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. Apart from more incomings, CFC could also see a few players leave the club before the window slams shut at 11 PM on 31st January.

3 Chelsea deals that could happen before the January transfer window closes:

1. Enzo Fernandez to Chelsea

CFC have been in pursuit of Fernandez for eternity now and there is a sense of optimism that they can get a deal done. Chelsea have always wanted to sign Fernandez and despite initial failure, they came back towards the end of the transfer window to sign Fernandez.

Chelsea have tabled a €120 million offer as pressure is mounting on Benfica president Rui Costa to accept the deal. The offer comprises of a large lump sum payment and five smaller payments. There has never been any doubts on Fernandez’s side as the Argentine has always been open to a move to Stamford Bridge.

Costa still has the same approach of ‘release clause or nothing’ but Chelsea are still optimistic and leaving no stone unturned to get the transfer done. Chelsea may not be involved in any other incomings as majority focus remains on signing Fernandez.

2. Hakim Ziyech exit from Chelsea

With the arrivals of Noni Madueke and Mykahilo Mudryk, the chances of Hakim Ziyech breaking into Graham Potter’s plans have taken a huge dip. The injuries to Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic saw Ziyech get an extended run in the side, where he impressed but his inclusion in the first team is now questionable in the long run.

Potter is now spoilt for choices when it comes to deploying wingers and it is almost certain that Ziyech has low in his preference list. The 29 year old has a number of suitors in the Premier League and outside of England.

Everton have been linked with the Moroccan and remains in the equation. Two Serie A sides, AS Roma and AC Milan, have also been tracking Ziyech’s situation. Newcastle United were also linked earlier in January but they signed Everton attacker Anthony Gordon.

Ziyech remains open to a move away from Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are willing to discuss offers for the 29 year old. A potential sale could bring in some money that will help CFC in balancing the books and staying away from any FFP issues.

3. Conor Gallagher exit from Chelsea

Conor Gallagher is a midfielder on the shortlist of a number of clubs. According to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have launched a £40 million offer for Gallagher. The Blues haven’t made a decision yet as other clubs remain in the race too. The academy graduate also needs to make a decision if he is willing to leave Chelsea or if he wants to stay and fight for a place at Stamford Bridge.

Perhaps, Gallagher’s stance could change if Fernandez moves to Stamford Bridge before the end of the transfer window. Everton’s offer is quite appealing and will see the Blues get at least £40 million which can be used to balance the books but it is unclear if the Englishman is willing to go to Everton who are in the midst of a relegation battle.
