Chelsea have been working round the clock to get the Enzo Fernandez deal over the line but the meeting is ongoing, at the time of writing. CFC are also offloading players and are close to confirming a second exit as Hakim Ziyech could seal a loan move to PSG.

While most of the fan base continues to wait for updates regarding Fernandez, the club is also working on sanctioning transfers and loans that would see players leave the club. This winter has been mostly about signing players and splashing the cash to strengthen the squad. In total seven players have already arrived with Mykahilo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke being the biggest headline grabbers.

CFC were open to offloading certain players in January in a bid to raise some funds to balance the books to avoid any FFP issues. It wasn’t until the transfer deadline day that Chelsea sold a player. Jorginho has joined Arsenal for a fee of £12 million as the Italian leaves Stamford Bridge after four and a half years at the club.

Academy players Omari Hutchinson and Bashir Humphreys have left on loan, joining West Bromwich Albion and Paderborn on loan until the end of the season. CFC are now close to sealing another first team exit.

Hakim Ziyech to leave Chelsea to join PSG

PSG and Chelsea started discussing a potential loan deal for Ziyech yesterday and the negotiations have continued on the transfer deadline day. The Moroccan has been touted to leave Stamford Bridge, especially after the arrival of Mudryk and Madueke. The big name arrivals would see the 29 year old play a sporadic role at the club.

According to David Ornstein, PSG have reached an agreement with the Blues to sign the Moroccan on loan until the end of the season. The deal is yet to be signed but an agreement has been reached. PSG will also have the option to buy in the summer.

A number of clubs had been interested for Ziyech’s services as AS Roma, AC Milan, Everton and Newcastle United showed interest to sign the 29 year old. Once PSG’s interest was discovered, Ziyech told Chelsea that he wanted to go to Paris.

The medicals have already taken place and the player is waiting in a hotel in Paris for the deal to go through. Ziyech becomes the second first team player to leave on transfer deadline day with David Datro Fofana also waiting for an answer for a loan move.
