Two Chelsea stars are likely to start versus West Ham United after a partial lineup reveal. The Pride of London examine the news and offer opinions. The information is speculation but emanated via a credible source. In addition to that talk, PoL has details on a Blues meeting of the bosses and another significant summit.

Losing away to Fulham was an obvious low point for Chelsea head coach Graham Potter. In truth, that loss was possibly the lowest day of his CFC reign. His tenure is as precarious as a plate balancing act.

However, Potter gained reprieve from potential termination as Blues boss when his side defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to Kai Havertz’s goal. Two consecutive goalless draws followed at Anfield versus Liverpool, and subsequently with the Cottagers on Fulham Road.

Although the stalemates were no classics, a point on that side of Merseyside was always considered decent, maybe not now that the Reds are presently so awful. There is also much to be said of FFC’s recent improvements.

Nevertheless, the ex-Brighton & Hove Albion gaffer has his work cut out if the west Londoners are to get anywhere near European qualification via the Premier League. Winning the Champions League would be tough, though CFC actually have one of the best squads on paper. Those January transfer window reinforcements certainly removed focus from Potter’s prowess or lack thereof.

West Ham are Chelsea’s next opponents, and there is some early team news for the away side. Nizaar Kinsella of Evening Standard claims that Conor Gallagher will probably partner Enzo Fernandez in the midfield on Saturday. Mateo Kovacic’s absence will naturally affect any selections; Denis Zakaria’s availability remains unclear. Nonetheless, Gallagher and Enzo could become quite the linkup.

Meeting of the bosses for Chelsea hierarchy

CFC co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali rendezvoused for lunch with Men’s and Women’s outfit managers Potter and Emma Hayes at Cobham training ground this week. Potter described the club as feeling ‘like a family’ nowadays.

Furthermore, on Thursday Boehly joined other EPL chiefs to discuss Financial Fair Play rules amid the Manchester City furore. Apparently the summit was a feisty occasion. There are no surprises there then, following hostilities as the Blues ownership shake things up.
