Chelsea are undergoing a major squad overhaul under Todd Boehly. In two transfer windows, CFC have signed a total of 16 players, two of them on loan and 14 of them on permanent basis. In January alone, Chelsea spent over £300 million on transfers in January as eight new players arrived at Stamford Bridge.

With the huge influx of new talent at the club, some of the players could face a big reduction in game time while some might even be expelled as they would no longer feature in Chelsea’s plans. Graham Potter has a myriad of talents to call upon and with 33 players in the squad, it is obvious some players will miss out on opportunities.

As the rebuild will continue in the summer, with Chelsea still eyeing signings, there are going to be definite departures too as the Blues try to reduce the massive squad size and in turn reduce the wage bill. For the summer transfer window, few players are guaranteed to leave Chelsea as the Blues will try hard to sell them.

Chelsea will be open to selling four players in the summer transfer window

According to Fabrizio Romano, four players could leave CFC on permanent basis as they are not a part of the project going forward. On Romano’s YouTube Channel, the Italian journalist named Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Conor Gallagher as players who could leave Chelsea in the summer.

"“Aubameyang will leave in the summer. They have an offer from LAFC. As of now the player is not convinced but lets see if player changes his mind. It is very clear that Aubameyang is out of the future Chelsea project.Hakim Ziyech was almost a new PSG player in the January transfer window. The deal was almost done on deadline day before the deal collapsed. Chelsea will look to protect the player from now until the end of the season but in June-July they will give the opportunity to the player to go and try something new.Chelsea were open to letting go Christian Pulisic in January but a deal was not completed because Pulisic had an injury. In the summer, it is a possibility for him to leave but it will depend on the proposals. Chelsea want around £35 million to let Pulisic leave with lot of interest around Europe.Conor Gallagher is one to watch. For Gallagher, Chelsea received a bid in the final days of the transfer window from Everton for £40 million plus add-ons but the player said no. CFC could be open to let Gallagher to leave in case they receive a big proposal.” (via Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube Channel)"

It is abundantly clear that Aubameyang doesn’t feature in Graham Potter’s plans. First he was excluded out of the Champions League squad and has now failed to make to the Premier League match day squad for three consecutive games. On the other hand, Ziyech continues to remain a bits and parts player but his inclusion is set to wane down as Raheem Sterling is available and Noni Madueke settles at the club.

Pulisic will also see his game time reduce as Mykhaylo Mudryk becomes the preferred player on the left flank. Chelsea are still looking to sign a midfielder in the summer which hints at possible sale of Gallagher who could bring a big pay cheque. These four are deemed expendables and come this summer, Chelsea will entertain offers for the quartet.
