Chelsea hasn’t won in five matches heading into this weekend’s tilt with Tottenham, whom Chelsea tied 2-2 back in August. It’s been a disappointing year thus far, but this game represents a great opportunity to get back on track.

3 Bold Predictions for Chelsea vs Tottenham

1. A Draw

The +230 odds above for a draw is my favorite bet of the contest, as I think we’re in store for a heated battle between these fierce rivals.

Scoring is hard to come by for Chelsea of late, but their defense is exceptional. In the team’s last six matches, Chelsea surrendered just three total goals. They’ve scored just twice in that span though, and it wouldn’t stun me to see another 0-0 result.

Three of those last six matches resulted in a draw. If you bet your $1,250 on a draw at +230 odds, you’d profit $2,875! Yeah, that’s some value I can get behind.

2. Low-Scoring Match

I like the under 2.5 goals at -130 odds as well. The under has hit in each of Chelsea’s last six games and in four of Tottenham’s last six, so recent trends support a low-scoring match.

These teams put up four goals total back in August, but neither offense is in great form right now.

Chelsea has one goal or fewer in each of its last 10 matches, while the Spurs have multiple goals in just three of their last nine.

Expect a defensive slugfest and consider an alternate total under 1.5 as well.

3. Clean Sheet for Chelsea

Sticking with the theme here, you can also get +230 odds that Chelsea will put up a clean sheet. They’ve allowed zero goals in three of their last six matches and I expect a physical game plan to try to slow down Tottenham’s dangerous attack.

The Spurs have a strong offense, but Chelsea knows its rival well and won’t be caught off-guard by Harry Kane’s pressure.

Just like for a draw, a $1,250 bet on a clean sheet would secure you $2,875 in profit. If Chelsea lets up a goal, you’ll get your wager back in bonus bets! Either way, you’ve got a great shot at a win.
